Kristi’s Cancer Battle Fundraiser
Kristi was born and raised by the Canadian border in Northwest Washington, and has lived in Idaho since 2006. That year she and her first husband Jeff Johnson moved to Harpster from NW Washington, and in early 2014 after losing Jeff, her husband of 20 years, she remained in Harpster.
In 2015 Kristi met Cory Loveland, who had came to Idaho from Oregon in 1996, had lived and worked in the Emmett area, and had recently moved to Donnelly with his daughter Stephanie. After a short courtship they became engaged and Cory moved from Donnelly to Harpster to be with Kristi. In October of 2015 they were married and in 2017 they started their home based business Loveland Custom Meats which they operated from home for about 3 years.
In 2019 they bought the Hidden Springs cabin, and loved Elk City so much, they decided to sell their Loveland Meat business in Harpster and move here officially in 2021. They have been working diligently since, clearing land & building their homestead, creating relationships with the community along the way.
Cory & Kristi have become a huge & welcoming part of our Elk City Community, helping out & donating lumber for new benches at our VFW, along with wood for deck/roof repair, donating logs for our Elk City Days logging shows, a cemetery sign, helping friends & neighbors, and many other community & residential projects.
In July of this year, Kristi was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer. She stays strong, positive, spiritual, and trusts God in this battle. But the emotional load is a heavy one, and the financial load is getting heavier every day. We feel it is our chance to give back. These are very goodhearted, hardworking, and generous people who now need our help.
